The Unheard Silence

This post has been published by me as a part of Blog-a-Ton 55; the fifty-fifth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. In association with Rashmi Kumar, the author of Hooked, Lined and Single and Jyoti Arora, the author of Lemon Girl. .

Wasn't it long awaited?
Wasn't it the earnest appeal to drench the dry terrain?
Left barren due to the scorch...
Cracked lips of the thirsty soul
Hands raised in prayer...
For the downpour..the soothing, cooling rainstorm.
......................................................................................

The showers washing the terrain with its mighty power
Seemingly quenching the thirst of the torrid soil...
Washing away the atrocious vice that
Has left the steps estranged
Never to be trodden by a mortal soul...
The door creaking of the cries that was never heard...
The void aisle once filled with mirth...
Storm before the onset of monsoons
Quietened by the silence, only the drizzle and the gust...
Silence of the soul.
